Jordan Cardenas and his father, Albert, have always been into Hondas. Whether it’s the family van or their current cruiser, it’s always been a Honda. From an ’88 CRX, to a ‘94 Integra, so and so on until Jordan finally became the proud owner of his 2013 Honda Civic Si. Fun fact, Jordan couldn’t even drive stick … his father had to drive it home!

Together, both Jordan and Albert have certainly made this Si into a screamer. In fact, I’ve never heard a car with such a high-pitched whine before but thanks to the CT Engineering Supercharger kit, at full wide open throttle, this supercharged Honda shrieks like a banshee. Both father and son in their garage, in the span of just under a week, installed this entire setup!

This ride may look relatively sleeper but it has it where it counts thanks to absolutely oodles of engine modifications which are certainly too many to list. Highlights are the PRL Cold Air Intake, the RV6 catted down pipe, and the Invidia Q300 Catback exhaust. With the help of Injector Dynamics 1000cc injectors, an IMT aftercooler kit, and a Hondata install tuned by Sean Igawa of Munky Wurks Garage.

When it comes to the exterior, this ride rolls reserved but with excellently orchestrated accents such as the prototype Devsport USA front and side splitters (Set 00001). A selection of additional yet OEM add-ons such as the Type R badges, front deflector, rain visors and Type R badges compliment the Password JDM gurney flap and amber rear turn signal overlays.

Although the interior has a modicum of goodies, including a weighted Mugen CF shift knob, the suspension and chassis has been treated right. Truhart sport shocks are mated with Skunk 2 drop springs as well as a Tanabe upper strut bar and Progress rear 22mm sway bar. SPC rear camber arms and bolts plus Boomba racing upper and lower motor mounts provide additional mod-worthiness.

Stopping power is necessary thanks to the additional horsepower so Powerstop cross-drilled and slotted rotors have been swapped in along with Stoptech stainless steel brake lines. Eagle brake pads peek from beneath a choice selection of custom powder-coated Work CR-Kais fitted with Bridgestone Potenza 970AS Pole Positions set at 215/45/R17s all around. Proper Honda badging completes the total package.

“To me, this car means spending time with my father” said Jordan. That was the most important thing as they built this ride through its stages. His father has always been a major player in his life and without him; he wouldn’t have taken the journey he has. Together, they have had the pleasure of building something with their own hands and that’s definitely something to scream about.
