Charles Ong has owned some pretty remarkable cars in his 22 years of life. His first ride was a third generation Mazda RX7, and that beauty was soon followed by a sporty Celica GT-S and an equally cool Nissan 350Z.

Still, it’s been an evolution in style and taste for Ong, particularly after he chose to roll with this raven-black 2010 Infiniti G37 S, which he affectionately refers to as his “Black Mamba.” According to the automobile hobbyist, he felt he needed a change of pace from the sports car category. With this Infiniti, he gets a luxurious ride dipped in supple Black Obsidian paint and with plenty of horsepower and room straight from the factory floor.

But Ong wasn’t content to leave things as they were. Instead, he’s taken this ride to another level with a few choice modifications. Initially, he simply wanted to lower the Infiniti and add nice wheels. But after much thought, he opted to take this beauty well beyond his early intentions by adding a killer Top Secret front lip and Prosplitter side skirts. Also, the inclusion of an AK Duckbill Trunk has helped to soup up the bodylines.

Custom lighting also has been added, thanks to the impressively installed Red Demon Halos. It’s amazing how such a simple mod can really change the mood of a car. These red beams of light add some real menace to his ride.

For shoes, this car has had quite a selection. Currently, Ong has them fitted with 20-inch Weds Kranze LXZ for show purposes. He also has a choice pair of 20-inch Work Schwert SC2s rolling on Konig black rubber at 225/35R/20 (front) and 245/35R/20 (rear). Both are featured in the photos are a joy to look at.  No matter what wheels he rolls with, the Akebono big brake kit ensures he comes to a stop when he needs to.

Thanks to Oahu’s many potholes, Ong decided in early February that air suspension was the way to go. That was no problem, thanks to Don at Forever Motorsports. Ksport Air Suspension was added and allows Charles to drop it at the touch of a button and raise it when he needs to get somewhere in comfort. One look in the trunk reveals a slick setup as well as a new surprise to be revealed at the upcoming Spocom show. An SPL Camber Kit was added to help the car from getting silly on the drop.

The stock 328HP has been upped with the addition of a dual Injen Cold Air Intake as well as Topspeed test pipes for better flow. It’s all capped by a Magnaflow Catback exhaust.  The interior has been mildly modded with a Nismo Shift knob, an anodized shift boot, Junction Produce head rests as well as some nice analog gauges for additional information.

Ong is extremely grateful to his family and friends.

“Without the influence and help of my friends and family, this car would never be where it is today,” he said. “This car will only get better as time goes by, so fasten your seatbelt and let’s take a ride in the Black Mamba!”
