The Lee family of United MMA is proud to announce their new facility in Waipahu. The business moved just last month and offers more classes and amenities than its previous location. “It’s a one-stop shop for everyone,” says owner and instructor Ken Lee. “They can do the classes, and we offer more programs so they can work on fitness, as well. They really don’t need to go anywhere else.” A great aspect of this setup is that parents can drop off their kids for classes and workout while waiting. United MMA also has opened up its facility to private trainers who can come out and train their clientele. For those not comfortable with contact combat, mitten pad classes offer a great alternative. In addition to the programs and classes, the establishment features gym equipment ranging from free weights, to machines to cardio, as well as a juice bar and pro shop. Classes run six days a week and include Muay Thai, MMA, grappling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing, private lessons and more. For a full list of classes, visit unitedmma.net. There’s more in store for United MMA’s future. “We have more to this facility that we haven’t opened yet,” Lee continues. “Downstairs is a sauna, steam room, ice dip and swimming pool, and we’re looking to offer a swim school for children to adults.” A future pro fight team also is in the works, so stay tuned for more information on that.
