Star Elite Cage Fighting and Man-up & Stand-up has some great matches set up for Feb. 7 at the Waipahu FilCom Center. Matt Tuilesu and Tipo Lafaele battle in the super heavyweight division, while SEC promoter Andrew Garcia goes head to head against Mark Kumai. Loren Sua and Kelly Kolie, and Jenna Ganaban and Chabrielle Gushi take to the ring for women’s matches. Doors open at 6 p.m., and more info can be found on Star Elite Cage Fighting’s Facebook page … Icon Sport Grappling Association, headed by T.Jay Thompson, hosts a submission/grappling tournament Feb. 8 at the Neal Blaisdell Center at 9 a.m. Matches include kids, women and men’s divisions in a round-robin format. “It’s something I’ve been dreaming about for a number of years,” explains Thompson. “Although I am known as an MMA promoter, my real passion is grappling.
