Maka Ha
New works by Carl F.K. Pao, Kupaʻa Hee, Cory Taum and Nicole Naone are on display until Nov. 26 at The ARTS at Marks Garage, during gallery hours. Maka Ha is the fourth in a series of exhibitions dedicated to the makahiki and ancient Hawaiian New Year. Hawaii Super Car Club Gathering
Hawaii Super Car Club meets from 1 to 2:30 p.m. right behind the BMW dealership at 899 Waimanu St. Bob has an interesting and diverse collection of cars from the 1930’s to the 1980’s models,and, perhaps more entertaining, is his collection of automotive models and other automotive items from kid’s petal cars to antique gas station items. Thanksgiving Celebration
53 By The Sea hosts an exclusive Thanksgiving menu by executive chef Hikaru Ide from 5 to 9 p.m. Reservations are available starting at 4;30 p.m. The meal will begin with a Foie Gras Parfait éclair and move on to an indulgent salad of Goat Cheese, truffle celery root, beets and walnuts. The third course is a creamy yet satisfying Kabocha Pumpkin Soup which is then followed by a Roasted Turkey with macadamia nut stuffing served with a side of a refreshing citrus cranberry sauce and herb gravy. An apple pie with caramel gelato closes the meal as the perfect autumnal dessert. The course menu is $75 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity. Cocktail attire requested, valet parking only.
