The event will have Melodie Soul and the Blue Light Funk Band performing a live 90’s R&B set. Maryanne Ito will be doing a guest performance, and The Republik has video mixing of 90’s music by Joralien. This is an 18 and up event and showtime starts at 8 p.m. (jointherepublik.com)
Jonny Lang at Blue Note Hawaii
Up until Jan. 13, Jonny Lang will be performing his distinctive, bluesy style from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily at Blue Note Hawaii. What began as a soulful sound, influenced by electric pioneers like Albert Collins, B. B. King, and Buddy Guy, evolved into a modern R&B style closer to Stevie Wonder and contemporary gospel music. Bikini Bottom’s Firework’s Dance Cruise
Join Oahu Boat Cruises and 49 new friends for a night of fun by enjoying the world famous Honolulu fireworks show by sea. Come experience Tumua Tuinei’s first big show. The local boy comedian has been doing comedy for two years now, opening for and featured by numerous comedians including Augie T, Andy Bumatai, and Paul Ogata. The Female Comics of Hawaii at Kawailoa Tavern
From 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. the Female Comics of Hawaii, the only all-female standup comedy group in Hawaii, will be hosting their very first north shore show at Kawailoa Tavern at 67-197 Kamehameha Highway in Haleiwa. Doors open at 8:30pm and this is only open to those 21 and up. Matt Stofsky hosts and Brandi Morgan, Erika Swartzkopf, Patrice Scott, Cameo Lawrence, Mutiya Vision, Mary Jane Murphy and Kirsten Alberts perform original standup comedy. Join Wang Chung’s for a fun packed catamaran! Catamaran check-in is at 12:30 p.m. At 1 p.m. the group will be escorted to the boat, which will set sail at 1:30 p.m. for a 90-minute ride.
