Singing Competition
Honolulu’s premier nightlife attraction, Air Park Karaoke Lounge, will be holding a karaoke competition with preliminary rounds July 8 and 15. The finalists of these qualifying rounds will compete July 22 where one lucky winner will take home the grand prize and will be chosen to represent Air Park in the televised Hawaii Stars Singing Competition which will air on KHON2 Oct. 2. Contestants are encouraged to sign up for either of the qualifying rounds. Contestant check-in at 9 p.m. and the competitions kicking off at 10 p.m. Email for more information. Bacardi and Electric Palms Hawaii presents #ShiftHappens: A Locals Only Fundraiser for DJ Shift at The Safehouse. Shift is a popular local DJ with residencies at Ginza Nightclub and Racesauce. Local DJs Debin, Jecht, and Errrick will open the show, and DJ Yooey headlines. Donations will be accepted at the door, and all proceeds will go toward Shift’s recovery fund. BAMP Project presents William Singe performing live at The Republik. William Anthony Singe, better known by his stage name William Singe, is an Australian singer, songwriter and producer. Girl, Boi, Grrl: Party Like an Animal celebrates a decade of neo-burlesque in Hawaii! Get ready to get hit with a hot mess of glitter, gloves and fierceness with a variety show combining some of the best of Hawaii’s drag, dance and burlesque performances.
